1. Swedish Massage Therapy: This is most common type massage, here the massage therapist uses mild to moderate strokes on the back, arms, legs, and other body parts to release tension and stress.
2. Aroma Therapy Massage: It is a type of massage therapy where one or more scented plant oils are used to address specific problems. The therapist chooses oils that are either relaxing, stress relieving, energizing etc. Lavender oil is supposed to be the most common oil that is used in aromatherapy massages.
3. Hot stone Massage: In this type of massage, heated stones are used on specific target muscles to loosen the tight muscle and to relieve the pain.
4. Deep Tissue Massage: A deep tissue massage targets the deeper layers of muscles and connective tissues, this is used majorly for people who have very tight muscles or postural problems.
